We're LARPers, friends, and storytellers
Tales&Legends is a non-profit UG (gUG) based in Dresden — the official registered seat is Freital, entered at the Amtsgericht Dresden commercial register. We founded it in June 2026 — but we were already playing before that: our first tavern night took place in March 2026, still as a loose group of friends. Our purpose per the founding contract: promoting art and culture as well as youth and elder welfare, specifically through live-action roleplay. Everyone on the team works as a volunteer; no profit is distributed — it flows back into events, free seats, and gear.
The team
We're a team of volunteers who think LARP is just awesome.
Represents the gUG, and handles contracts, bookkeeping, registrations and the website — everything that has to happen before an event is allowed to take place at all.
Builds and maintains our stock: loan costume for beginners, NPC outfits and the small props a scene hangs on.
Develops the Realms of Lorell, writes plot and makes sure every group at an event has something to do — including the ones not looking for a fight.
Responsible for set pieces, camp build-up and technical kit. Turns wood, paint and improvisation into the places we play in — and takes them down again on Sunday.
Plans our youth events, keeps in touch with youth centres and schools, and makes sure the staffing ratio and safeguarding concept are lived in practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Since Tales&Legends is recognized as non-profit, we can issue donation receipts. For donations up to €300, a simplified proof (e.g. your bank statement) is enough under German tax rules. Even so, we automatically issue a receipt for every donation. You'll receive it by email.
Donations go directly into running Tales&Legends: the Freiplatz-Fonds, event costs, and whatever's needed to keep things running. We keep administrative overhead as low as possible so as much as possible reaches where it makes a difference. On our donations page, you can help decide yourself what your donation goes toward.
Yes — we publish what comes in and what goes out. You'll find the current overview further up this page, under Transparency.

It's one of Tales&Legends' donation projects — every donation that comes in through it goes 100% toward free or discounted tickets for people who couldn't otherwise afford to join our events.

Simple: whoever asks first. We don't check need and don't set conditions — you don't have to explain yourself either. The fund is there for anyone who couldn't otherwise take part.
Yes. Tales&Legends is a registered non-profit UG (gUG) and is recognized as non-profit by the tax office. Donations are tax-deductible accordingly.
Tales&Legends is a non-profit UG (gUG) based in Germany. Behind the project is a small, largely volunteer-run team that wants to bring stories and community together.
The gUG belongs to BrainEntertainments Holding — but that doesn't change where the money goes: because of our non-profit status and § 9(2) of the Gesellschaftsvertrag (articles of association), no funds may be passed on to the holding company. Everything that comes in stays in the project and benefits the community.
