Accountability Reports
Why we report
Tales&Legends is a recognised non-profit. That means we may issue donation receipts and pay no corporation or trade tax on our work — and in return we have to show that every euro serves our charitable purpose: LARP events, youth work and cultural support. Anyone who gives us money should not have to take that on trust; they should be able to read where it went.
What a report contains
Each report lists the year's income by source (donations, ticket revenue, grants, sponsorship), the spending by purpose (events, free places, gear and storage, administration) and the balance at year end. Alongside that comes a short account of which plans were realised and which had to be postponed. Individual donation campaigns additionally get a statement of funds used, published directly on the project page.
Our funds come from three sources: donations from individuals, ticket revenue from our events, and occasionally sponsorship or grants. How much came from where is in the report — and what an individual project cost is on its own donation page.
We provide the current tax exemption notice from the tax office on request — for instance when a grant programme or a company needs it to process a donation.
As a nonprofit recognized under § 60a of the German Fiscal Code (AO), we publish regular accountability reports on how our funds are used. Since Tales&Legends gUG was only founded in 2026, our first accountability report will be published in 2027.
