Tales&Legends is a non-profit UG — and like any organisation, we need a solid foundation for everything to work. Behind every event, every article, and every registration form there is work that stays invisible but is absolutely essential.
What do donations go towards?
Our annual operating costs are manageable but real: storage €1,200 (keeping props, costumes, and event equipment safe and dry), accounting €500 (annual accounts, tax returns, donation receipts) and IT €300 (hosting, domains, email, and registration systems). That adds up to €2,000 per year, costs that arise regardless of how many events we run.
On top of that, we want to invest in social media equipment (€1,000) — camera, microphone, and accessories to make Tales&Legends more visible and keep our community better supplied with content from events and organisational life.
What happens if more money comes in?
If donations exceed what we need for day-to-day operations, we put the surplus to good use: either by lowering ticket prices across all events, or by funding purchases for the game operation — new props, equipment, or materials that make our events better.
Why a dedicated fund for this?
Ticket prices cover direct event costs — staff, venue, catering, game materials. The ongoing operating costs of the gUG sit alongside that. Donating here enables Tales&Legends to stay stable and independent without passing these costs on through ticket prices.
Every contribution helps — and every donation to Tales&Legends gUG is tax-deductible. We are happy to issue a donation receipt on request.
